COVID-19 Testing Site Opens at Paul Quinn College

In response to the COVID-19 global pandemic, Paul Quinn College has partnered with the City of Dallas and Lyda Hill Philanthropies to open a free COVID-19 testing site on the school’s campus in Dallas. The testing site is part of Paul Quinn’s “Safe for My City” campaign that also features a protective face mask and food giveaway. Walk-up testing has been extended to every Saturday. COVID-19 Testing Site Days and Hours of Operation:

  • Testing will be available every Saturday

  • COVID-19 testing operation hours will be from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

  • The address for the Paul Quinn Testing Site is 3837 Simpson Stuart Rd, Dallas, TX 75241

FAQ

+ What do I need to bring?

Testing is completely free. You will only need a valid phone number. Registration for the test is done on-site. It is recommended that you have a smartphone. If you do not have a smartphone, you will be able to register manually on site.

+ Do I need Health Insurance to get tested?

You do not need health insurance to get tested! Testing is completely free.

+ Do I need to have symptoms to get tested?

You do not need to have symptoms in order to get tested. We encourage anyone, symptomatic or not, to get tested!

+ How often can I get tested?

You can get tested as often as you would like.

+ Can I bring my family?

Yes. There are no limits on the amount of tests per household.

+ If my child is underage, can they get tested?

Any child over the age of five can get tested. They do need parental or guardian supervision in order to get tested.

+ What kind of test is this?

This test will determine whether you currently have COVID-19. It does not test for antibodies. We encourage anyone to get tested as often as they feel necessary.

+ How will I get my results?

You will receive a call with your results within 2-4 days, and a follow-up text with a link. You can only access the link twice, so we recommend that you take a screenshot of it the first time you open the link. If you do not have the ability to take a screenshot, you can elect to have the result emailed or faxed to you.

+ What if it's been 2-4 days and I haven't received my results?

If you have not yet received your test results, you chould contact help@txcovidtest.org with your name, phone number used for the test, and date of birth. Someone will be in touch with you soon regarding your test results.

+ Do I have to get tested if I am just picking up a free food box?

No, you do not have to get tested if you do not wish to.
